As we end 2014 and begin 2015, I just wanted to look back throughout 2014 and list at least 14 things I am grateful to God about. The bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 that no matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ.
I am grateful that:-
1. God gave me the opportunity to serve the Sierra Leoneans from January to August 2014. Freetown being a coastal town, I enjoyed the beautiful beaches around. What a blessing!
2. God graced me to lead two people in Sierra Leone to Christ. There is always #GreaterJoyInHeaven when a soul comes to the Lord. Souls are the major #thingsthatkeepmeawakeatnight. What a privilege!
3. God favored me and overwhelming selected me to set foot on the Holy Land. I was blessed to walk where Jesus walked - an experience that forever changed my life. #JoyOverwhelming. What an honor!
4. During the pilgrimage trip to Israel, we also passed through Egypt. Got to see first hand the effects of insecurity in a country. There were some places we could not pass without a police escort. Grateful for the security we enjoy in Kenya. Thank you Jesus!
5. Though I was in Sierra Leone when #Ebola broke out, God spared my life from that deadly disease. God is truly amazing!
6. God has continued to protect my friends and family in the Lord in Sierra Leone from the Ebola virus. The bible says in Exodus 23:25, Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and your water. I will take away sickness from among you. Papa God we tell you plenty tenki!
7. God brought me back to Kenya to serve the Children of Kenya Children's Home. Selah!
8. God enabled me to read Reinhard Bonnke's autobiography, 'Living a Life of Fire' which had a great impact in my life. I don't read many books from cover to cover but this was one of those I could not put down. Hallelujah!
9. God used me to lead three teenagers from the Children's Home to the Lord. #GreaterJoyInHeaven. Glory to God in the Highest!
10. God also used me to bring 3 Connect youths (children who grew up in the Children's Home) to the Lord and one rededicated her life to Christ. #WhatOtherJoyIsThere? Praise Adonai!
11. Being in Kenya has made it possible for me to see my nieces and nephews more regularly. Blessing and honor be unto the ancient of days!
12. God also enabled me to visit the beautiful island of Zanzibar - a trip was fully sponsored by my sister. Merci Beaucoup Monsieur!
13. God allowed me to be a part of the team that #MakesLifeWorthLiving for the women who have fistula in Kenya. So humbling.
14. God protected my family, friends and myself from sudden calamities, accidents, infirmities and illness, immature deaths, and property loss. He is a miracle working God!
