God's Incomparably Great Power

As I was reading Ephesians 1 today, these thoughts came to mind and I felt like sharing with you.  I pray it will bless you.

Verse:
And his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms... Ephesians 1:19-20

Reflection:
Isn't amazing that God has made His incomparably great power available to us who believe?  I can't imagine how the working of God's mighty strength might feel like or looks like.  But he gives us a glimpse of it.  He said it is the same power that accomplished two things for Christ Jesus:-

1. It raised Christ from the dead.  That speaks of purpose.  It speaks of an assignment.  So if we have that same power, then we are able to accomplish the purposes for which God called us to.  We are able to do what he sent us to do.  We have no reason to be sloppy or lazy because the power is available.  If that power raised Jesus from the dead, then I am not sure what it cannot do.  Whether I am called to preach the gospel, or to be a doctor or a teacher or an army officer, the same power that raised Christ from the dead is available to me.

2.  It seated Christ at the right hand of God in the heavenly realms.  That speaks of position.  It speaks of identity.  Ephesians 2:6 says that "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus".  So the same position that God's incomparably great power put Jesus, is that same position it put us.  At God's right hand.  That is "far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come." Ephesians 1:21.  That is just unbelievable.  Wow!

So I ask myself these two questions:-

1.  What is my purpose and am I tapping into the power that is available to me in Christ to accomplish it?
2.  As I walk through life, am I walking as one who knows my position?  One who knows how strategically placed I am?

Prayer
- Father, thank you for revealing your purpose for my life to me.  Help me to tap into that incomparably great power that is available to me in Christ Jesus to accomplish your purposes for my life.

- Lord, thank you for your son Jesus Christ who through him you have made me sit with him in the heavenly realms.  I pray that you will help me to walk in awareness of my position at all times.  Help me to live my life not only in view of eternity but also as one who is strategically placed - far above all rule and authority.  Open my eyes to know this INCOMPARABLY GREAT POWER that is available for me who believes, in Jesus name.
